Former Bayern Munich prospect, 2014 World Cup winner, and Real Madrid great Toni Kroos is never one to hold back, so when Kroos was asked to evaluate Bayern Munich vs. Paris Saint-Germain, he gave his typical frank assessment.

Specifically, Kroos said that Bayern Munich’s backline will just need to be better against PSG than it was vs. Real Madrid.

“I think Bayern will have to defend a bit better than they did against Real. I think Paris can be a bit more efficient [than Real]. Bayern defended with a lot of risk in both games, which Real could have punished even more in the second leg. If they adjust a few things, Bayern have a good chance. For me, it’s a 50/50 tie. Paris are the defending champions. Based on the current form, I think Bayern and PSG are the two best teams,” Kroos told Sky (as captured @iMiaSanMia).

Later, Kroos was asked by Sport1 if Bayern Munich can win a treble and he said he thought it was in the cards.

“Yes, absolutely. They’ve made it this far. They haven’t managed that in recent years. They often ended up being eliminated in the Champions League quarter- or semifinals. The semifinal still has to be played, but especially in the DFB-Pokal, they’ve had several years where they were knocked out early. So, if you get to this stage, which we’re entering in May, and you’re competing in all the competitions, then you’ve done an outstanding job up to this point,” Kroos said (as captured by @iMiaSanMia). “Of course, you always have to see it through to the finish line, but the league title is already secured. They’re the heavy favorites in the Pokal final. And in the Champions League, I see it as a 50-50 match between what I consider to be the two best teams in Europe right now. So it’s going to be very exciting. And of course, I hope they make it all the way to the final.”

It is true, PSG’s attack, unlike Real Madrid, can kill you a number of different ways rather than just with throwing Hail Marys to Kylian Mbappé and Vinícius Júnior. PSG has attacking versatility — it can wear you down with sustained pressure or it can strike quick. No matter how PSG works, it is productive and can be decimating to the opposition.

The Bavarians are no slouch, though. Hell, many would argue that Bayern Munich is even more dangerous than PSG. It will be a battle.

A 50/50 tie like Kroos says? Maybe, but no matter what any of us think, it is time to find out.

If you need a little extra boost, we’ve got you covered here, too:

There will be reviews for Invincible and The Boys later this week.

Here is to hoping the slog of the first two seasons will lead to greatness for the third season (fingers crossed):

There might not be much from pop culture linked to the early aughts than Jackass — the new age prank and stunt show produced by MTV.

Back then, the network merged some groups that were doing pranks / stunts from different areas and the chemistry just worked. There was a lot of success, a lot of pain, and some horrible fallout during the come down from that success, but the boys are back — and they’re lookin’ for trouble:

Bayern Munich and PSG are two of the most powerful offensive teams in the world — and some would argue the two most lethal. As much as everyone is pointing to each team’s backline as holding the key to the tie, the reality is that Tuesday’s game will come down to which team is most efficient around the opposition’s net.

While each team creates a lot of chances, the nerves spike in games like this and things just get a little more tight. Sure, Bayern Munich holds the mental edge of knowing it beat PSG last fall, but Luis Enrique’s side has the added motivation of revenge.

And while it was hard for some people (me…I am those people) to accept that PSG finally got the job done and won the Champions League last year, the team is absolutely legit and deserving of wearing that crown. As they say, however, heavy is the head that wears the crown.

At times this season, PSG seems to have crumbled under the weight of that title. Taking every club’s best shot can be grueling and that will not change against a very motivated Bayern Munich side.

This will be an offensive battle between two attacks primed and ready to explode, but who can do just enough to pull away? We’ve got Bayern Munich in what should be a free-wheeling, rollicking, and up-and-down battle.
