Michigan State football has extended an offer to a linebacker from Texas with plenty of power four interest.
Jerrell Bridges of Midlothian, Texas announced on Monday that he's received an offer from the Spartans. According to a social media post from Bridges, Michigan State is one of nearly 15 schools to extend him an offer.
Bridges is listed at 6-foot-2 and 185 pounds and plays for Midlothian High. He currently is not rated or ranked on 247Sports, but is listed as a three-star prospect on Rivals. He is also ranked as the No. 135 linebacker in the 2027 class, according to Rivals.
Michigan State is one of a few power four schools to extend an offer to Bridges, according to 247Sports. He also holds notable offers from Houston, Iowa State, NC State and Wake Forest, along with a number of offers from group of six teams, including Rice, New Mexico, Tulsa, Texas State, UConn and Coastal Carolina.
