Michigan football had 13 players who had entered the 2026 NFL draft, and just shy of half of them ended up getting the phone call during the seven rounds to tell them that their futures were secure. But the other half would have to wait to see if they could find opportunities as undrafted free agents.

Most every player went about when they were expected to be selected, but with two exceptions: tight end Marlin Klein went about two rounds earlier than anticipated, while defensive tackle Rayshaun Benny went two to three rounds later. The only player who was strongly anticipated to be drafted who wasn't was kicker Dominic Zvada.

Second round: EDGE Derrick Moore - Detroit Lions (44th pick)

Second round: TE Marlin Klein - Houston Texans (59th pick)

Third round: EDGE Jaishawn Barham - Dallas Cowboys (92nd pick)

Fourth round: LB Jimmy Rolder - Detroit Lions (118th pick)

Fifth round: FB Max Bredeson - Minnesota Vikings (159th pick)

Seventh round: DT Rayshaun Benny - Baltimore Ravens (250th pick)

The Wolverines didn't have a first-rounder this go-round, which was expected. The only round other than first that didn't claim a Wolverine was the sixth round.

Of the players who got drafted, only one was a transfer (Barham). Three of the players who weren't drafted had spent one year in Ann Arbor (McCulley, Williams, Payne), while another (Zvada) had two seasons with the Wolverines. Hausmann would have likely been drafted, but he had some documented mental health issues, which precluded him from the end of his Michigan career, and likely raised some question marks for NFL franchises.
