As Manchester United prepare for a pivotal summer, the focus isn't just on new signings—it's also firmly on the dugout. With the club needing to appoint a permanent manager, interim boss Michael Carrick is making an undeniable case for the job. After taking over from the departed Ruben Amorim in January, Carrick has steered the Red Devils to third place, orchestrating a impressive run of seven wins and two draws in his ten league games in charge.

This resurgence has sparked a growing chorus of support for Carrick to be handed the role full-time, a sentiment now echoed from within the dressing room. While on a training camp in Ireland, forwards Amad Diallo and Bryan Mbeumo were asked for their verdict on their current coach.

Amad was unequivocal in his praise, highlighting Carrick's deep connection to the club. "Yes," he stated. "He’s been very great... He has a lot of experience and he knows the club, he has the DNA. So we think he’s the right man."

Mbeumo quickly agreed, emphasizing the positive environment Carrick has fostered. "We’ve got a good experience with him. I like playing under him as well," said the winger. Both players stressed the decision ultimately lies with the club's hierarchy, but their admiration for Carrick's man-management and tactical understanding was clear.

When pressed on what stands out most, Mbeumo pointed to Carrick's innate understanding of United's culture. "He knows the DNA of the club... it’s been easier because he knew the house," he explained, a sentiment Amad strongly seconded. As the season reaches its climax, the players' bold endorsement adds significant weight to Carrick's compelling audition for the permanent role at Old Trafford.
