Miami Dolphins fans share the needs they believe the team still has following the NFL Draft.

The Miami Dolphins entered the NFL Draft with a roster full of question marks, and while they made some moves, fans are far from satisfied. Following the draft, we asked Dolphins fans: "Which holes still need to be filled before training camp?" Their answers reveal a team still searching for answers on both sides of the ball.

One fan, tvegas897, put it bluntly: "The secondary and the pass rush are going to suck if they don't pick up a couple of veterans." Another, CluelessNFLfan, agreed, pointing out that "edge and safety" remain glaring weaknesses. "Impossible for a rebuilding team to meet all needs in one draft, but those were two needs that were not adequately addressed," they added.

The sentiment around the defensive backfield is particularly strong. davidson11 lamented what they see as a missed opportunity: "There's a Caleb Downs-shaped hole in the secondary." Downs, a highly touted safety prospect, was available in the draft but the Dolphins passed, leaving fans frustrated.

Offensively, PA phinphan sees a lack of a true No. 1 wide receiver as a critical issue. "There is no number one wide receiver on the team," they wrote. "The closest might be Bell, and he's not cleared medically. A true ball hawk safety is lacking. With the amount of injuries in the past, at least one more cornerback. Lastly, a proven veteran guard would be nice—too many unknowns at that position."

Not every fan is panicking, though. JUK offered a more measured breakdown by position group: "Running back is not a need—could get a cheap vet or Moss as the fourth option. Wide receiver, realistically, I think we're done. We have the two draftees, Tolbert, Atwell, and one or both of Malik Washington and Coleman. Offensive line could still use veteran depth, but it's not a major need, especially if Proctor starts inside."

But the edge rusher position remains a hot topic. "We need at least one big edge," JUK added. "Who is setting the edge in the run game?" It's a question that echoes across the fanbase as the Dolphins look to shore up a defense that struggled last season.

One fan summed up the big-picture challenge: "This team was left in pretty bad shape cap-wise and talent-wise. This type of turnaround needs at least two years to look like a decent team. By year three, dividends will begin to show up. We must hit on late-round draft picks and some undrafted free agents to fill out a solid team."

As training camp approaches, the Dolphins have work to do. Whether it's adding a veteran edge rusher, a ball-hawking safety, or a true No. 1 wideout, fans are watching closely—and they expect the front office to deliver.
