SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO) — Lincoln baseball took down Roosevelt 16-10 at Ronken Field on Thursday night in the KELOLAND Sports Game of the Week.

The Rough Riders got out to a quick 4-0 start but the Patriots took over from there, thanks in large part to Kale Meyer’s grand slam in the top of the third. Roosevelt scored six runs in the bottom of the seventh to breathe some life into the game but it wouldn’t be enough.

Owen Lechtenberg earned the win for Lincoln, allowing three hits and four runs over six innings with four strikeouts and three walks.

The Rough Riders will look to get back in the win column on Saturday at Washington.
