The New York Mets might finally be catching a break.

After losing 11 consecutive games through April 20, the Mets are set to activate star outfielder Juan Soto from the 10-day injured list on April 22, according to Jon Heyman of the New York Post.

Soto, 27, was placed on the 10-day injured list on April 6 (retroactive to April 4) with a right calf strain. The owner of the largest contract in baseball history was slashing .355/.412/.516 in eight games before the injury.

Much has happened to the Mets in the absence of their four-time All-Star left fielder.

The Mets’ last victory came on April 7, a 4-3 win over the Arizona Diamondbacks. Since then, they have been swept by the A’s, Los Angeles Dodgers and Chicago Cubs coming into an off-day April 20.

The Minnesota Twins visit Citi Field for three games beginning April 21. Getting Soto back for the middle game of the series could be just the boost the struggling team needs.
