Vitor Matos says he is "really happy" with the contributions of Malick Yalcouye and Gustavo Nunes as the two loan signings prepare to leave Swansea City. Midfielder Yalcouye (pictured above) and winger Nunes (below) will head back to their parent clubs after Swansea's season-ending game at home to Charlton Athletic on Saturday (12:30 BST).

As the curtain falls on Swansea City's season, head coach Vitor Matos has paid a heartfelt tribute to the club's departing loan stars, praising their professionalism and impact during their time in South Wales.

Malick Yalcouye and Gustavo Nunes will play their final games for the Swans in Saturday's season finale against Charlton Athletic at the Swansea.com Stadium (kick-off 12:30 BST). The duo, alongside injured left-back Ishe Samuels-Smith, are set to return to their parent clubs after contributing to a campaign that has seen the team fight hard in the Championship.

"I'm really happy with all of them," Matos said. "They were all important in some moment of the season. The loan spells were good for both in terms of developing, good for us in terms of having players with that kind of profile, and good for the mother clubs because they expose these players to the Championship level."

Yalcouye, a 20-year-old midfielder on loan from Brighton, has been a consistent presence this season, making 36 appearances and scoring once. His energy in the middle of the park has been a key asset for Matos's side. Nunes, also 20, joined from Brentford in January and has featured 12 times, showing flashes of the pace and creativity that made him a sought-after prospect.

Samuels-Smith's loan from Chelsea was cut short by injury after just eight appearances, but Matos was quick to acknowledge his contribution: "They are really good kids, professional, and the squad loves all of them."

There's brighter news for another loanee: Leo Walta will make his move permanent as expected, giving Swansea a boost for next season. Meanwhile, veteran defender Joel Ward and third-choice goalkeeper Paul Farman are the only senior players out of contract this summer, with Matos confirming the club is "still speaking" to both about their futures.

As the Swans prepare for one last push at home, fans will be hoping to give their departing loanees a fitting send-off—and perhaps a glimpse of what's to come for the next generation of talent wearing the famous white shirt.
