The Boston Bruins suffered a 3-1 home loss to the Buffalo Sabres in Game 3 of their first-round Stanley Cup Playoffs series on Thursday.

Boston returned home after winning Game 2 and looked to take control of the series. The Bruins scored the first goal, as Tanner Jeannot scored just over three minutes into the second period, before the Sabres scored three straight goals, including an empty-netter.

Although the Bruins lost, head coach Marco Sturm believes the team is still in a good spot, as he knows Boston has rebounded well all season.

"We’ve just got to put this one behind,” Sturm said postgame on Thursday. “We’re going to address it in the next few days again, what we can do better, and then we’re going to bounce back. We’ve done it all year long.

“I think that’s going to be the biggest message. Nothing really changes. We did it in Buffalo, we did it all season long. We always bounced back. We’re still in a pretty good spot.”

Although Sturm feels like Boston is still in a good spot, Game 4 is pivotal for the Bruins to win to even up the series.

Bruins goalie Jeremy Swayman, however, has full confidence the team will win Game 4 at home.

“It is important to take the positives and move forward,” Swayman said. “So good to be on home ice. The crowd was amazing. Just understanding stuff is going to go good, and stuff’s going to go wrong. All we have to do is worry about the next shift, and I think we can be extremely successful when we do that.”

Game 4 is set for Sunday at 2 p.m. ET at TD Garden in Boston.
