Marc Leishman isn't fazed by the latest headlines about LIV Golf's uncertain future. Despite reports that the Saudi Arabian PIF will pull funding after the 2026 season, the Australian star has a surprisingly upbeat outlook on the league's longevity.

While LIV Golf CEO Scott O'Neil has been vocal about pushing the tour beyond this year, no concrete plans have been finalized. Some insiders have even speculated that this season could be the league's last. But when asked recently if he'd consider returning to the PGA Tour should LIV fold, Leishman didn't hesitate to push back.

"I'm not thinking that far ahead," he said. "I'm confident that things are going to work out over here. I think it's going to be alright."

So what's fueling Leishman's confidence? For him, it boils down to three things: the product, the players, and the growing fanbase. "You see so many families out there," Leishman explained. "I think it is growing and growing quickly. I think things are going to be good."

The 15-time professional winner also noted that LIV's leadership has kept players in the loop, even if only sparingly. "I can't speak for everyone else, but I trust what the team is doing," he said. "It's not my area of expertise to tell people how to run a tour, so I just let them do their job and trust they are good at it."

Whether Leishman's optimism is wishful thinking or grounded in reality remains to be seen. But on the course, the 42-year-old is having a solid season, with top-10 finishes in Adelaide and Mexico City. For now, he's keeping his focus on the game—and keeping the faith that LIV will be around for the long haul.
