On the international stage, he's made 124 appearances for Germany, captained the 2014 World Cup-winning side, and been named World Goalkeeper of the Year five times. Now, with his contract extended by another year, Neuer is ready for more.

“I’m absolutely delighted,” Neuer said. “It took me a while to make up my mind—this is a very important decision for me, for the club, and for our team. Now I’m convinced it’s the right one.”

I focused on my physical well-being and health regularly. We won the Supercup early on and had a great first half of the season. We’ve grown even closer as a team. Everything has clicked—the coaching staff, the daily training, the dressing room atmosphere. The motivation and energy in the squad are incredible. That’s why I enjoy going to Säbener Straße every day. It made the decision easy.”
