Manchester United have made their stance crystal clear: Marcus Rashford will not be part of their first-team plans next season, according to reports from The Sun.

The England forward is currently enjoying a productive loan spell at Barcelona, where he has rediscovered his form after a difficult end to his time at Old Trafford. Rashford fell out with former manager Ruben Amorim, but his move to Spain has breathed new life into his career.

Barcelona have the option to make the deal permanent for £26 million at the end of the season. However, the cash-strapped Spanish giants are hoping to negotiate a lower fee—or even extend the loan for another year. United, though, are holding firm on their asking price and have no intention of slashing it.

Rashford recently took to social media to congratulate United on securing Champions League qualification—his first tweet about the club in nearly a year. That post sparked speculation that he might be open to a return to Old Trafford.

But don't be fooled. United's position remains unchanged: they want to sell. And with Champions League football back on the table, Rashford's salary is set to rise significantly, making a sale even more appealing from the club's perspective.

On the pitch, Rashford has been a revelation at Barcelona. In 29 La Liga appearances this season, he has scored seven goals and provided nine assists. Manager Hansi Flick is reportedly pleased with his contributions, and Rashford himself is keen to extend his stay in Catalonia.

The problem? Barcelona's well-documented financial struggles. They need to strengthen multiple areas of the squad and simply can't afford United's demands right now.

Should Barcelona fail to secure a deal, Rashford won't be short of options. Arsenal are reportedly monitoring the situation closely. The Gunners are in the market for a left winger, with both Gabriel Martinelli and Leandro Trossard facing uncertain futures in North London.

For now, Rashford's next move remains up in the air—but one thing is clear: his future lies away from Old Trafford.
