The brass at Premier League heavyweights Manchester City have identified a member of the midfield ranks at Girona as a potential summer signing.

This comes amid confirmation of the Sky Blues keeping a close eye on the progress of Azzedine Ounahi.

Versatile midfielder Ounahi is for his part in the midst of a fine individual campaign to date.

An extended spell on the sidelines through injury aside, the Moroccan has played a starring role for Girona, across 18 La Liga appearances.

Showcasing his stellar technical attributes, Ounahi has shone bright at the heart of a struggling XI, to the tune of five goals and three assists.

And his exploits along the way, as alluded to above, have not gone at all unnoticed in the Premier League…

As per a report from El Chiringuito TV, ahead of the impending departure of Bernardo Silva in the summer, Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City have earmarked Ounahi as a potential replacement.

The title-chasing Citizens are said to be ‘very interested’ in the 26-year-old, whose contract at the Estadi Montilivi contains a €20 million release clause.
