Olivia Miles has already shown the WNBA what she's made of—and her debut stats put her in rare company.
The Minnesota Lynx rookie, taken with the No. 2 overall pick in the 2026 WNBA Draft, made an immediate statement in her first professional game. In 34 minutes of action, Miles poured in 21 points on 6-of-14 shooting, including 1-of-2 from deep, and a perfect 8-of-8 from the free-throw line. She also dished out 8 assists, grabbed 3 rebounds, and added 2 steals and 2 blocks—all while committing just 3 turnovers.
According to analyst Hunter Cruse, Miles is only the second player in WNBA history to record at least 20 points, 8 assists, and a 55% true shooting percentage in a debut. The only other player to accomplish that feat? None other than Candace Parker—a legend whose impact on the game is undeniable.
Miles' performance earned high praise from her backcourt partner, Courtney Williams, who called her "a little killer." Williams added, "I said, 'Look, let me move out your way.' Happy to have her, happy to be back at my natural position, and she's out here killing it."
While the Lynx fell just short in a one-point loss, Miles' debut was everything fans could have hoped for. It's a first impression that suggests this rookie is ready to make her mark—and maybe even carve out a legacy of her own.
