The Lumberjacks closed out their regular-season home schedule in dominant fashion, leaving no doubt on the diamond. Bemidji High School's softball team rolled to two emphatic run-rule victories Thursday at the BHS softball field, first topping Detroit Lakes 10-0 in six innings before shutting out Fergus Falls 12-0 in five innings.

Against Detroit Lakes, Olivia Birt led the charge with a 3-for-4 performance that included a double and an RBI. Clara Sherwood also showcased her power with a double, going 2-for-3 and drawing a walk. Aubrey Hanson drove in three runs with a 1-for-4 effort that featured another double. The lineup depth was on full display as Callie Malkowski, Karley LaZella, Emma Greiner, Ridley Hadrava, and Brooke Snobl each contributed hits.

The momentum carried into the second game against Fergus Falls, where LaZella turned in a standout performance at the plate. She doubled twice in a perfect 3-for-3 outing, driving in three runs. Hanson continued her hot streak, going 2-for-3 with a double and two RBIs. Hayden Dahl, Kendal Tysver, Snobl, and Malkowski each added singles to keep the offense rolling.

But the story of the day might have been LaZella's work in the circle. She started and finished both games, tossing 10 total innings of shutout ball. She allowed just six hits and two walks while striking out an impressive 19 batters, showing the kind of dominance that makes a team dangerous heading into postseason play. For the Lumberjacks, it was a perfect send-off on their home field.
