The NFL Draft is a time when college football players' dreams come true. They gather with family and friends with the anticipation of hearing their names called to join the professional ranks.

For Mansoor Delane, a cornerback that played for Virginia Tech before transferring to LSU, he didn't have to wait long.

Delane was picked sixth overall by the Kansas City Chiefs, with the Maryland native joining defensive coordinator Steve Spagnuolo. But the Chiefs and Delane weren't the only ones elated by Thursday night's outcome in the draft.

The official LSU Football account pointed out another benefit to Delane's landing spot: the chance to meet the one-and-only Taylor Swift. With the 14-time Grammy winner getting married to long-time Chief Travis Kelce this summer, Swift is likely to be around a fair amount.

The LSU football media manager is for sure thrilled about the prospect.

It's definitely a perk to draft day for the Chiefs picks.
