The New Mexico Lobos and New Mexico United are getting together for a little bit of football and futbol.
The two are partnering for an all-day event Saturday that will feature an equipment surplus sale, UNM’s spring game, a meet-and-greet autograph session, adoptable dogs, a lowrider car show and United’s USL Cup match against AV Alta FC that evening.
The equipment sale will go from 9 a.m. to noon inside the Lobos’ practice facility, while the spring game will kick off at 1 p.m. It is free to attend.
UMN is coming off its best season in a decade. The Lobos went 9-4 last year and reached the Rate Bowl. It was the program’s most wins since going 9-4 in 2016, also the last time it received a bowl game invitation.
Following the spring game, fans can visit Louie Lane — UNM’s fan zone north of the football stadium — from 3 p.m.-5:30 p.m. for games, food trucks and autograph opportunities with Lobo players and members of the United Academy.
United (2-3), which was off last week, will host AV Alta FC (0-2-4) in a group stage match at 6:55 p.m. at Isotopes Park. It will also be United’s second annual “Pups on the Pitch” night.
