PFL flyweight tournament winner Liz Carmouche has booked her first fight in 2026 as she serves as one-half of PFL San Diego co-main event set for June 27 at the Pechanga Arena.

Carmouche faces fellow UFC veteran Viviane Araujo on the card after the Brazilian just scored her first win in the PFL with a decision victory over Shanna Young in April.

Long ranked as one of the best 125-pounders in the world, Carmouche bounced back from her only loss in the PFL — a decision to Taila Santos back in 2024 — when she tore through the flyweight tournament in 2025. Carmouche scored three wins in a row including a knockout over Jena Bishop in the finals.

Overall, Carmouche has gone 12-1 since leaving the UFC in 2019.

As for Araujo, she found success in her PFL debut after she bounced back-and-forth between wins and losses prior to her own UFC exit. During her time with the promotion, Araujo scored wins over the likes of Karine Silva, Jennifer Maia and Andrea Lee while dropping decisions to Tracy Cortez, Natalia Silva and Alexa Grasso.

Now Araujo looks to establish herself in the PFL flyweight division when she faces Carmouche in June.

While no title is on the line, Carmouse vs. Araujo could potentially crown a No. 1 contender in the flyweight division with undefeated PFL star Dakota Ditcheva anxiously awaiting her next assignment after returning from a hand injury that kept her sidelined for several months.

The main event for the card is a featherweight showdown between A.J. McKee and Salamat Isbulaev.
