Having already managed 22 goal involvements in 33 matches for the German side this season, it is clear why the teenager finds himself so high on Liverpool’s list of priorities.

Multiple reports have established a valuation of around €100 million (~£87m) ahead of the window, with Leipzig reluctant to let their biggest star go.

Diomande is set to play at the World Cup with the Ivory Coast this summer too, which could complicate a move if no agreement is in place before the competition kicks off on 11 June.

The player has made his admiration for Liverpool known in the past, and a move for Diomande to replace one of the Premier League’s greatest ever wingers, Salah, would make a lot of sense.
