Tyler Mahle (0-3, 7.23 ERA) gets the nod for the Giants, badly needing a solid outing, having allowed a whipping 15 earned runs in just 18.2 innings pitched thus far. After going 6-4 with a sparkling 2.18 ERA for the Texas Rangers in 2025, Mahle was brought in with the expectation that he could provide stability to the rotation. Control has been an issue, as shown in his last start, where he allowed eight earned runs over four innings, walking five hitters.
