Jake Lintott, Warwickshire's crafty left-arm wrist-spinner, is set to bid farewell to the Bears at the end of the season as his contract expires. The 33-year-old has been a key figure in the club's white-ball setup since joining in September 2020, particularly shining in the T20 format where he has claimed 86 wickets in 74 matches.

Lintott, who boasts an impressive 115 wickets in 104 career T20 games, signed a three-year deal at Edgbaston in January 2023 and later extended it with a 12-month contract last May. His journey to professional cricket is as unique as his bowling action—he left his teaching job in Somerset to take a trial with Warwickshire in 2020, earning a T20 deal that season before signing a full-time contract in February 2021.

Beyond his domestic success, Lintott was part of the inaugural Men's Hundred-winning Southern Brave team in 2021 and has showcased his skills in global tournaments like the Caribbean Premier League and Bangladesh Premier League. He has also represented England A and worked as a coach with Warwickshire's women's team ahead of their entry into the professional structure last year.

Warwickshire head coach Ian Westwood praised Lintott's impact, saying: "Jake has been a fantastic representative of the club, showing real pride in everything he does both on and off the field. His professionalism and commitment are second to none, and he always gives his absolute all every time he plays. We thank him for everything he has given and wish him all the very best for the future."

Reflecting on his time with the Bears, Lintott described playing for the club as "an absolute honour" and Edgbaston as "a special place." He added: "As a kid, all I ever wanted to do was play professional cricket. This club had faith in me when no one else did. They gave me the opportunity to fulfil my dreams. The last seven seasons have been some of the best years of my life."

With only three first-class appearances to his name, Lintott's departure marks the end of a memorable chapter for a player who carved out a unique niche in the modern game. Fans will surely remember his contributions to the Bears' white-ball campaigns as he prepares for his next move.
