Katya Prykhodko swept the 1600 and 3200 meter runs for the second straight year to deliver a 5th straight title to Lex girls in Friday’s OCC track championships.

It was another dominant performance for the Lexington girls' track and field team at the Ohio Cardinal Conference (OCC) championships this past Friday. The Lady Lex squad captured their fifth consecutive conference title, extending a reign that has become the gold standard in the league.

Leading the charge was standout distance runner Katya Prykhodko, who swept the 1,600-meter and 3,200-meter runs for the second straight year. Her double victory provided a critical 20 points that sealed the team's latest championship. Prykhodko's consistency in these grueling distance events has been a cornerstone of Lexington's dynasty.

The victory marks a remarkable milestone for the program, which has now won five straight OCC titles. Such sustained excellence requires depth across all event areas, and the Lady Lex roster delivered with strong performances in sprints, jumps, and throws to complement their distance ace. For a team that keeps raising the bar, Friday's result only adds to the legacy.
