When LeBron James steps onto the court, history tends to follow. In the Lakers' series-clinching win over the Houston Rockets, the King delivered yet another masterclass—and his head coach, JJ Redick, didn't hold back when it came to the GOAT conversation.

The Lakers took the series in six games, setting up a Western Conference showdown with the defending champion Oklahoma City Thunder. Throughout the series, LeBron led all players in total points, pouring in 139 over six games. According to ESPN Research, he became the oldest player in NBA history to lead a playoff series in scoring—a testament to his enduring greatness.

What makes this run even more impressive is that James carried the load in the first four games without Luka Dončić and Austin Reaves. Before the playoffs tipped off, LeBron hinted that this postseason would be special. "It's going to be litty," he said. "I don't know how many more postseasons I got left. It doesn't matter what you did in the regular season. That stuff is out the window now. This is it."

After the series win, Redick was asked about James' performance—and he didn't mince words. "Literally every single guy was going 'bahhh, bahhh' (goat noises)," Redick told reporters with a smile. "It speaks to his greatness. To me, he's had the greatest career of any NBA player. He's one of, if not the greatest of all time."

The GOAT debate will rage on forever, but Redick's stance is clear. LeBron James continues to rewrite the record books at an age where most players are long retired. As the Lakers prepare for a tough matchup against the Thunder, one thing is certain: with LeBron leading the way, anything is possible—and his coach believes he's already cemented his place at the top.
