Lake Travis defeated Westlake 11-1 on Tuesday in a Central Texas high school baseball game.

In a dominant display of high school baseball, the Lake Travis Cavaliers secured a decisive 11-1 victory over their archrivals, the Westlake Chaparrals, in a key District 26-6A matchup Tuesday night. The game, shortened to six innings, was a showcase of both pitching prowess and explosive offense.

While Texas Longhorn signee Cooper Webb delivered a typically strong performance on the mound, striking out eight over five innings, the night truly belonged to junior shortstop James Tudor. In his first varsity season, Tudor announced his arrival in spectacular fashion, going a perfect 3-for-3 with a triple, two doubles, and a staggering six RBIs.

"I was just seeing the ball well," Tudor said of his breakout performance. "When I got down in the count, I was just trying to work the other way... found gaps and used my speed."

His impact was immediate. With the game tied 1-1 in the second inning, Tudor cleared the bases with a triple, sparking a four-run rally that put Lake Travis firmly in control. He wasn't done, adding an RBI double in the fourth and a two-run double in the fifth to help build an insurmountable lead.

Webb, the Cavaliers' ace, provided the shutdown pitching to complement the offensive outburst. He limited Westlake to just two hits, navigating around a few early baserunners to secure the win. "I was pretty juiced coming into the rivalry game," Webb admitted. "I just competed and got through it."

Lake Travis coach Ryan Rogers praised Tudor's dedication, noting his relentless work in the cages had paid off in a major way. "He had a good approach, and that’s what happens when you trust the process," Rogers said.

With the win, Lake Travis improves to 16-9-1 overall and 6-1 in district play, solidifying their status as a team to watch. The victory also underscores the depth of talent on the roster, proving that on any given night, a new hero can step up and deliver a championship-caliber performance.
