Tennessee junior softball player Sage Mardjetko was named SEC Pitcher of the Week when the league announced its weekly awards on Tuesday.

She pitched a one-hit shutout in Tennessee's, 2-0, victory over No. 3 Alabama on Sunday. She pitched seven innings, allowing three walks and recorded six strikeouts.

Mardjetko (11-1) also earned a win in Tennessee's, 2-1, victory over Radford on April 21. She pitched 5.1 innings and allowed one unearned run, two hits and three walks. Mardjetko recorded 10 strikeouts.

She is 5-1 in SEC play with an 0.95 ERA. Mardjetko pitched three complete games, including two shutouts. She has allowed 10 runs and 14 walks, while recording 53 strikeouts in 51.1 innings during SEC games.
