Barcelona may have already wrapped up the La Liga title, but Hansi Flick's side is showing no signs of slowing down. With the trophy secured after a dramatic El Clásico victory at the Spotify Camp Nou, the team now has a clear mission: reach the 100-point mark—a milestone achieved only twice in La Liga history.

As they head to the Mendizorrotza Stadium to face a desperate Alaves fighting for survival, all eyes are on a fresh face from the famed La Masia academy. According to SPORT, 19-year-old center-back Álvaro Cortés is set to make his first-team debut, starting tonight against Alaves.

Flick is using the final stretch of the season to reward emerging talent, and Cortés is the latest beneficiary. The young defender has been named in several matchday squads in recent months but has yet to step onto the pitch for the senior side—until now.

With the demanding schedule taking its toll, Flick plans to rest the heavily used defensive duo of Pau Cubarsí and Gerard Martín. Enter Cortés, who has captained Barça Atlètic this season under Juliano Belletti and impressed with his leadership and consistency.

Internally, Cortés is regarded as a well-rounded center-back: physically dominant in duels, a commanding presence in the air, and comfortable playing out from the back with his left foot. He's also become a weapon from set-pieces, scoring three goals this season for the B team.

Barcelona's commitment to youth development doesn't stop there. Other academy products like Tommy Marqués and Xavi Espart could also see minutes. Both have already made official first-team appearances this season, with Espart even starting against Sevilla earlier in the campaign.

For fans of the Blaugrana, tonight's match offers a glimpse into the future—a future built on the same La Masia foundation that has produced legends before.
