The Stanley Cup Playoffs are filled with exciting moments. The Colorado Avalanche had quite a handful of them in their overtime Game 2 victory over the Los Angeles Kings on Tuesday night. Yet the moment the fans seemed to celebrate the most was Scott Wedgewood's spectacular penalty shot save early on in the second period.

With the game scoreless as the second period began, Kings forward Quinton Byfield was awarded a rare penalty shot after being interfered with on a break. Byfield pulled an incredible series of moves on Wedgewood, but the Avalanche goaltender stood strong and made a stellar glove save on the young Kings forward.

As expected, Avalanche fans erupted for the brilliant save, which kept the Kings off the board first in the second frame.

Even more wild than the save was how Avalanche fans reacted. Colorado fans got so pumped for the moment that they accidentally broke one of the glass panels behind the Los Angeles bench, which showered coach D.J. Smith with the shards and caused a delay of the game until the pane was replaced.

Thankfully, Smith was ultimately fine and returned to the bench after getting cleaned up to finish up the game.
