The Kentucky backcourt is seeing a major shift as sophomore guard Collin Chandler has officially entered the NCAA transfer portal. After two seasons in Lexington, the dynamic 6'5" guard is looking for a new home where he can showcase his evolving game.

Chandler's journey to Kentucky was unique. He was originally a prized commit for Mark Pope at BYU but deferred enrollment for a two-year mission. Upon his return, he followed Pope to Kentucky, entering the portal to reunite with the coach who initially recruited him.

His role expanded significantly this past season, where he became a key starter for the Wildcats. Chandler averaged 9.7 points, 2.8 rebounds, and 2.3 assists per game, starting 31 contests. He endeared himself to the Big Blue Nation with explosive athleticism—earning the nickname "Hoppy Chandler" for his highlight-reel dunks—and a reliable three-point shot, hitting four or more triples in eight games.

A former four-star recruit and the top-rated player from Utah in the 2022 class, Chandler will have two years of eligibility remaining. While Kentucky's season ended in the NCAA Tournament's second round, Chandler's potential as a versatile scoring threat who can shoot off the dribble and attack the rim makes him one of the more intriguing names in this transfer cycle.
