According to reports, Florida State is Kentucky's primary competitor for the 6-foot-11 Colorado standout. Rancik, a skilled forward from Slovakia, averaged 12.3 points and 5.6 rebounds last season and brings a strong basketball pedigree as the son of former Iowa State and international pro Martin Rancik. His potential addition would provide valuable size and floor-spacing for Coach Mark Pope's roster.

In other recruiting news, the Wildcats are also working to get Utah guard Terrence Brown on campus. A planned Friday visit was postponed due to a family matter, but Brown remains a key target.
