The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have selected Miami Hurricanes cornerback Keionte Scott with the pick in the first round of the 2026 NFL Draft.

He joins former Miami teammate Rueben Bain, who was selected in the first round by Tampa Bay.

Keionte Scott is 5-foot-11 and runs a 4.33 40-yard dash. He is viewed as one of the top 10 players at his position in this draft and is a standout run defender. He has a good nose for the ball and can be dangerous if he gets his hands on it, returning two picks for touchdowns last season with the Hurricanes.

Scott's versatility will earn him early play time with Tampa. He's a good tackler, very good blitzer and has explosive speed.

Keionte Scott appeared in 47 total games during his collegiate career, playing his first three seasons at Auburn before transferring to Miami for his final season. He recorded 130 solo tackles, 14 pass deflections and three interceptions during his time in college.
