Florida State is making serious moves on the recruiting trail, and running backs coach Kam Martin is leaving no stone unturned in his pursuit of top talent. The Seminoles have long dominated the Georgia recruiting scene, and their latest target—2027 three-star athlete Marquis Fennell—is proof that the pipeline remains strong.

Fennell, a versatile playmaker out of Valdosta High School, has been on FSU's radar since receiving an offer on Jan. 20. The connection quickly deepened when he attended Junior Day in Tallahassee on Jan. 31, followed by two unofficial visits in March. But Coach Martin took the relationship to the next level last Thursday with an in-home visit to Fennell's home in Valdosta, Georgia.

"Really appreciate @TeamKamMartin for coming by on a home visit last week," Fennell posted on social media, signaling just how much the gesture meant to him.

Ranked as the No. 596 overall player and the No. 44 athlete in the nation by 247Sports composite rankings, Fennell also checks in as the No. 70 prospect in Georgia. But numbers only tell part of the story. At 5-foot-10 and 175 pounds, he's a dynamic dual-threat who dominated his junior campaign: 1,480 rushing yards (8.2 yards per carry), 23 touchdowns, and nine games with over 100 yards on the ground. Oh, and he's just as dangerous through the air, hauling in 53 receptions for 764 yards and 10 touchdowns.

With Florida State already holding six commitments in the 2027 cycle—but only one on offense (three-star tight end Connor Winn)—it's no surprise the Seminoles are zeroing in on a versatile weapon like Fennell. He's exactly the type of explosive, multi-position talent that can elevate an offense.

Mark your calendars: Fennell has an official visit locked in with FSU on June 12. If Coach Martin's in-home visit is any indication, the Seminoles are all-in on this rising star from the Peach State.
