Juventus and their supporters have been dealt a fresh blow as striker Arkadiusz Milik faces another spell on the sidelines. The club has confirmed the Polish international sustained a Grade II muscle strain in his right thigh during training, a frustrating setback in his long-awaited return to fitness.

This new injury, diagnosed as a moderate strain of the biceps femoris muscle, is expected to sideline Milik for approximately 20 days. This timeline rules him out of two pivotal Serie A fixtures: this weekend's match against Bologna and the high-stakes clash with AC Milan at the San Siro on April 26th. His availability for the final four rounds of the season will depend on further tests in about ten days.

For Milik, this is a cruel twist in a challenging comeback journey. After missing the entire 2024/25 campaign with a serious knee injury, he had only just made his return last month, offering a glimpse of his quality in brief appearances against Sassuolo and Genoa. His presence was seen as a potential boost for a Juventus attack that has often lacked a focal point, especially with Dusan Vlahovic also battling fitness issues.

While this latest setback is shorter than his previous long-term absence, it raises significant questions about his role in manager Luciano Spalletti's plans moving forward. With the season reaching its critical finale, Spalletti may now be forced to look elsewhere for attacking solutions, as relying on a player with such a fragile physical condition becomes increasingly difficult. For now, the Juventus medical team will focus on guiding Milik through another meticulous recovery process.
