Justin Thomas had a positive week at The Masters as he made the cut before finishing in a tie for 41st at Augusta. It is some way off his PGA Championship wins of 2017 and 2022, but Thomas is only really finding his feet again after injury.

Justin Thomas is taking the positives from a solid, if not spectacular, Masters week. While a T41 finish at Augusta National isn't the result a two-time major champion typically targets, it represents a significant step forward in his comeback journey. After undergoing hip surgery at the end of 2025, Thomas is methodically rebuilding his game, and making the cut at golf's most demanding test is a clear sign of progress.

Reflecting on social media, Thomas captured the week perfectly: "Masters week never disappoints. A lot of good in my game but not quite sharp enough to get into contention." His scores of 72, 74, 71, and 73 for a two-over total showcased resilience on a course that humbled many big names. He mixed 12 birdies with some inevitable Augusta bogeys, demonstrating the flashes of brilliance that have defined his career.

This performance continues an encouraging trend in his 2025 return. After a rusty missed cut at the Arnold Palmer Invitational, Thomas has steadily improved, notching a T30 at the Valspar Championship and a strong T8 at The Players Championship before arriving at Augusta.

Now, the 32-year-old shifts his focus to a venue filled with good memories: Harbour Town Golf Links for the RBC Heritage. Thomas is the defending champion, having captured his 16th PGA Tour win there last year in a dramatic playoff. That victory, his first since the 2022 PGA Championship, broke a significant drought and proved he can still close under pressure. Returning as the title holder provides a massive confidence boost as he continues to fine-tune his game for a busy PGA Tour season ahead.
