Jacksonville University's Brandon Lohr has been named the ASUN Men's Golf Scholar-Athlete of the Year, highlighting a standout season both on the course and in the classroom. The ASUN announced its 2026 postseason honors on April 22, recognizing top talent from across the conference, including multiple players from Jacksonville University and the University of North Florida.

Lohr, a sophomore finance major, boasts an impressive 3.93 GPA and has completed over 60% of his undergraduate coursework. He led the Dolphins with a scoring average of 71.1 and finished in a three-way tie for third at the ASUN Tournament, making him the top area finisher. His academic and athletic excellence earned him the conference's highest academic honor.

On the women's side, the University of North Florida's golf team made a strong showing. ASUN Tournament individual champion Brianna Castaldi and fellow junior Kaitlyn Schroeder both earned first-team All-ASUN honors, representing the conference champion Ospreys. They were joined on the first team by Amelia Alcantara and Leonie Wulfers of Florida Gulf Coast, as well as Isaki Sakashita of Stetson, who was named ASUN Player of the Year. Central Arkansas' Alethea Paige Gaccion took home Freshman of the Year honors, while Florida Gulf Coast's Shannon Sykora was recognized as Coach of the Year.

The ASUN All-Academic team featured multiple area standouts. For the men, Tomas Hjalsted and Daniel Montalvo of Jacksonville University, along with Jean-Philippe Parr and Adam Vermut of UNF, made the list. The UNF women's team placed four of its five ASUN Tournament starters on the All-Academic team: Castaldi, Schroeder, Bradyn Smith, and Mohea Monsbendel, plus Helen Zhou. Jacksonville University's Isabella Hopkins, Erin Marcelino, Alexis Rieli, and Kathryn Schaefer also earned academic recognition.

Lohr and UNF junior Danny Erickson were named to the second-team All-ASUN, while UNF's Filippo Serra made the third team. Luke Balaskiewicz of UNF earned a spot on the All-Freshman team. Florida Gulf Coast's Nolan Harper, a Beachside graduate, secured first-team honors alongside teammates Sebastian Gamboa and Sacha Ruiz, as the Eagles claimed the ASUN title.

Looking ahead, the Flagler College women's golf team enters the NCAA Division II South Regional as the sixth seed, set to compete May 4-6 at Cleveland Country Club in Cleveland, Tennessee. The Saints men's team will also compete, seeded ninth in the NCAA Division II tournament.
