Jorge Martínez “Aspar” has been a fixture of the Grand Prix racing sphere since 1982, first as a Grand Prix racer and then as racing team owner. An inductee to the MotoGP of Fame in 2019, Martínez is one of the most influential figures in the paddock. His latest venture: a racing academy to develop young racing talent from around the world.

Jorge Martínez "Aspar" has been a cornerstone of Grand Prix racing since 1982, first as a celebrated racer and later as a team owner. Inducted into the MotoGP Hall of Fame in 2019, he remains one of the most influential figures in the paddock. Now, he's launching his most ambitious project yet: a global racing academy designed to discover and develop the next generation of young riders from around the world.

Dubbed the "Aspar Universe," this academy builds on Martínez's existing racing initiatives, creating a comprehensive system to nurture talent from the ground up. Already working with nearly 200 riders from 30 countries—including two from the United States—the program spans multiple competition levels. It starts with minibikes and progresses through PreMoto4 and Moto4 in the Spanish Championship, the Stock European Championship, and all the way to the Moto2 World Championship. This structure ensures that young racers can grow within a single, supportive ecosystem.

The academy isn't just about riders. It also serves as a training ground for future racing mechanics through the Aspar KSB Technical Academy, addressing a critical need in the sport. By combining rider development with technical education, Martínez is building a complete pipeline for motorcycling excellence.

After more than four decades shaping the sport, Jorge Martínez "Aspar" continues to invest in young talent with this unparalleled racing ecosystem. The Aspar Universe brings together all levels of training, from the MIR Racing Aspar Cup minibikes to the Moto3 and Moto2 World Championships. It also includes the PreMoto4 and Moto4 categories in the Spanish Championship, the Moto4 European Cup, Moto3 Junior, and the Stock European Championships.

With nearly 200 riders representing over 30 nationalities, the academy underscores Martínez's commitment to both Spanish and international motorcycling. Beyond the Spanish riders, the program features talents from Colombia, Argentina, Kyrgyzstan, Italy, and beyond—each one a testament to the global reach of this ambitious project. For fans and aspiring racers alike, the Aspar Universe is a thrilling new chapter in the world of motorcycle racing.
