Jordyn Tyson is entering the 2026 NFL Draft as one of the most talented wideouts in the class. While he doesn't have many issues on the field, his main challenge has been staying on it.

Tyson was sidelined for 15 games during his collegiate career with the Colorado Buffaloes and Arizona State Sun Devils, including a season-ending knee injury during his freshman year that forced him to miss parts of his freshman and sophomore seasons.

The talent in Tyson's film is there. If he can stay on the field, he has a great chance of having a productive NFL career, wherever he lands. However, this is a challenge for a lot of professional players, and his existing injury history has caused some question marks among NFL scouts.

Here is the rundown on Tyson's injury history, including how many games he missed per season.

Through his three-season collegiate career, Tyson has missed a significant chunk of games. He first played for Colorado under Deion Sanders, but transferred out after one season. He would play a few more seasons at Arizona State, including a campaign that largely involved recovering from a season-ending knee injury obtained in 2022.

Despite being highly touted as one of the best route runners in the upcoming draft, Tyson's draft stock has taken a hit due to his inability to stay on the field. He had three significant injuries during his college days that scared a lot of scouts off, according to some sources.

Here is a breakdown of Tyson's most devastating injuries during his college career.

In his first season, Tyson went down at the end of the year with a season-ending knee injury. He missed the last three games of Colorado's season and would later transfer to Pac-12 foe Arizona State. Tyson needed to miss nine games during his first year with the Sun Devils and ended up redshirting the season.

Tyson began his true freshman year off on the right foot with Colorado, averaging 21.4 yards/catch, including his long of 81 yards. He finished the year with 22 catches for 470 yards and 4 TDs.

In his first season on the field with the Sun Devils in 2024, he played in 12 games during the season. However, he was sidelined from their College Football Playoff run with a collarbone fracture. He went on to miss two of the team's 14 games that year.

That season, Arizona State received a bye in the first round before eventually falling to the Texas Longhorns 39-31 in double overtime. Cam Skattebo led the team in rushing and receiving yards, and even threw a 41-yard touchdown pass. He finished the day with 3 total TDs.

What has scouts most nervous about Tyson's injury history is his most recent hamstring injury. On Oct. 18, after a win against Texas Tech where he had 10 catches, 105 yards, and a touchdown, Tyson noted a hamstring issue that ended up sidelining him for 3 weeks. The hamstring injury lingered on during the season; however, Tyson's potential is off the charts when healthy. In Mel Kiper's most recent big board, the former Sun Devil is the No. 7 prospect entering the 2026 NFL Draft.

Tyson forwent the 2026 NFL Combine due to the risk of reinjury, along with more recovery time, and opted to work out individually on April 17.

Injuries have cost Tyson 34% of his games at the college level. In 2022, he fell victim to a major knee injury that went on to end his freshman year and sideline him for the entirety of the 2023 season. When he returned in 2024, he started all twelve games he played in, but missed the Sun Devils' College Football Playoff appearances with a collarbone injury. He played fewer games in 2025, starting all nine of them, while missing three games with a hamstring issue.

Here is a breakdown of how many games he missed due to injury.
