Jonathan Aranda hit a game-ending single in the 10th inning to cap a 4-for-5 afternoon, and the Tampa Bay Rays beat the San Francisco Giants 2-1 on Sunday to complete a three-game sweep. After Junior Caminero was intentionally walked leading off the 10th, Aranda blooped an 0-1 fastball from Caleb Kilian (1-1) into short right-center to score automatic runner Chandler Simpson from second, giving Tampa Bay its ninth win in 10 games and sending San Francisco to its sixth straight loss.

Jonathan Aranda delivered a walk-off single in the 10th inning, capping a stellar 4-for-5 performance and lifting the Tampa Bay Rays to a 2-1 victory over the San Francisco Giants on Sunday. The win completed a dominant three-game sweep at Tropicana Field, extending the Rays' hot streak to nine wins in their last 10 games.

The heroics came in the extra frame after Junior Caminero was intentionally walked to lead off the 10th. Aranda, facing Giants reliever Caleb Kilian (1-1), looped an 0-1 fastball into short right-center field. The hit scored automatic runner Chandler Simpson from second base, sending the Rays dugout into celebration and handing San Francisco its sixth consecutive loss.

Earlier, the Rays tied the game at 1-1 in the eighth inning on a perfectly executed safety squeeze by Ryan Vilade. His bunt down the first-base line allowed Caminero to slide in safely ahead of the throw from first baseman Rafael Devers, showcasing the kind of small-ball savvy that has defined Tampa Bay's recent surge.

The Giants struck first in the opening frame when Devers doubled to left and scored on a single from Casey Schmitt. But San Francisco's offense sputtered from there, managing just two runs in the entire series and going 1-for-11 with runners in scoring position on Sunday.

Tampa Bay's pitching staff deserves a share of the credit. Ian Seymour (1-0) worked a perfect 10th inning to secure the win. Starter Steven Matz was solid over six innings, allowing one run on four hits with two walks and a strikeout. The bullpen trio of Hunter Bigge and Bryan Baker followed with three scoreless innings, helping the Rays notch their fourth sweep of the season.

For the Giants, Tyler Mahle turned in a strong start with 5 1/3 scoreless innings, while Luis Arraez chipped in with two hits. But it wasn't enough to halt San Francisco's slide as they head home for a six-game homestand beginning Monday against San Diego.

The Rays, meanwhile, look to keep their momentum rolling. Right-hander Nick Martinez (2-1, 1.70 ERA) takes the mound Monday as Tampa Bay opens a series against the visiting Toronto Blue Jays.
