JOHNSON CITY, N.Y. – Johnson City/Chenango Valley’s Makenzie Lombardini made history after scoring four goals and adding three assists in the Warcats’ dominant 15-4 victory over Binghamton High School’s girls lacrosse team.

Lombardini reaffirmed her status as one of the top athletes in the Binghamton-area and in a league completely of her own by surpassing the previous JCHS record of 228 goals. Even with having worked at the sport since seventh grade, Lombardini said “[she] had never really thought of breaking the school’s records” until recently.

The junior currently holds the school’s newest record with 69 career assists and 300 career points, previously at 65 assists and 263 points.

“It’s been amazing watching every game and witnessing every point scored throughout her journey, and not just as a coach but as a father,” Johnson City/Chenango Valley head coach Mick Lombardini said.

Lombardini’s breakout game that brought her to 231st career goal at Wildcat Stadium came less than four weeks into the 2026 season, and having hit several milestones early on in her career, Lombardini looks forward to “continue to win games and reaching sectionals” as her next career goal.

Johnson City/Chenango Valley will look to improve its record against Seton Catholic Central at 7 p.m. Thursday, April 23, at Warrior Stadium.
