Jazzy Francik allowed one run in six total innings in the circle, Kennedy Harp accounted for both Florida State runs and the top-seeded Seminoles defeated third-seeded Virginia Tech 2-1 on Saturday to win the ACC Softball Championship for the 20th time. In the Florida State half of the second inning, Harp drove in one run with a double and scored the other on a passed ball. Francik allowed an unearned run in the first inning and was removed with two outs and the bases empty in the fifth inning.

In a thrilling display of resilience and clutch performance, Jazzy Francik guided Florida State to its 20th ACC Softball Championship title, edging out Virginia Tech 2-1 on Saturday in Charlottesville. The top-seeded Seminoles once again proved why they are a dynasty in the conference, adding another trophy to their storied legacy.

The game's pivotal moment came in the second inning, when Kennedy Harp delivered a crucial double to drive in the first run. She then crossed the plate herself on a passed ball, giving Florida State all the offense it would need. The Seminoles managed just two hits after that frame, but their pitching staff made every run count.

Francik, who allowed an unearned run in the first inning, was pulled with two outs in the fifth and the bases empty. Ashtyn Danley stepped in to finish the inning, but the drama was far from over. In the sixth, Virginia Tech loaded the bases against Danley, prompting a return to the circle by Francik. With the pressure mounting, she walked the first batter she faced to load the bases, then calmly induced a soft flyout from Rachel Castine to escape the jam.

Francik's final line was impressive: three hits, six strikeouts, and two walks over six innings. The win improved her record to 22-2 with a stellar 1.75 ERA, cementing her status as one of the nation's elite pitchers this season.

For Virginia Tech, Emma Mazzarone took the loss, allowing both Florida State runs (one earned) while walking four and striking out four in just over two innings of work. The Hokies, who last won the ACC tournament in 2008, showed fight throughout but couldn't crack the Seminoles' defense when it mattered most.

This championship marks Florida State's first conference tournament title since 2023, and it comes at the perfect time as both teams await their NCAA tournament bids. The Seminoles boast a proud postseason history, with 37 tournament appearances, 12 trips to the Women's College World Series, and a national championship in 2018. Virginia Tech, meanwhile, has made 14 tournament appearances and reached the WCWS once, in 2008.

With a 49-8 record, Florida State looks poised for another deep postseason run. For softball fans and apparel enthusiasts alike, this victory is a reminder of why the Seminoles remain a powerhouse—and why their gear is always a winning choice.
