It wasn't pretty, but the Boston Celtics found a way to win on Friday night.

Coming off an ugly Game 2 loss to the Philadelphia 76ers at TD Garden on Tuesday, the Celtics bounced back to win Game 3 in Philadelphia on Friday, 108-100.

The game was close all the way through as Boston got a bit careless with the basketball, committing 17 turnovers. Fortunately, the Celtics won nearly every other category, which was enough to win the game.

Boston's biggest improvement was beyond the arc. After shooting just 26 percent from downtown in Game 2, the Celtics sank 42.6 percent of their 3-pointers in Game 3.

“We still had 17 turnovers and a lot of ugly possessions," Jayson Tatum said during his postgame press conference. "On both sides of the ball, there are a lot of things that we can learn from."

Tatum and Jaylen Brown scored 25 points apiece, leading Boston past a Sixers team that remained without Joel Embiid. Derrick White's shooting slump continued, but Nikola Vucevic stepped up against his former team and Payton Pritchard drilled five 3-pointers.

Tyrese Maxey dropped 31 points for Philadelphia and five of his teammates scored in double figures, but it wasn't enough.

Time will tell if Embiid is available and/or if the 76ers are able to respond in Game 4 on Sunday night. The Celtics will try to win again and take a 3-1 series lead back to Boston with a chance to close out the series at home in Game 5.
