The Boston Celtics' season is over after a 109-100 loss to the Philadelphia 76ers in the first round of the NBA playoffs.

In a fiery post-game press conference, Jaylen Brown didn't hold back after the Boston Celtics' season-ending 109-100 loss to the Philadelphia 76ers in Game 7 of the first round of the NBA playoffs. The Celtics star called out Joel Embiid for what he perceived as gamesmanship on the court, specifically accusing the 76ers center of flopping to draw fouls.

"We didn't really have the answers for him," Brown told reporters, referencing Embiid's dominant 34-point performance. "We tried a bunch of different things. He's a big body. He also was flopping around. He got some extra calls and stuff like that, and they rewarded him for that, but that's the league we're in."

Embiid, the former MVP, indeed shot a game-high 11 free throws, a stat line that fueled Brown's frustration. The tension boiled over at one point when Embiid picked up a technical foul for a hit on Brown after the whistle, but the damage was already done. The 76ers' big man proved to be a matchup nightmare for a shorthanded Celtics squad.

Brown did his part, pouring in 33 points to lead Boston, but the Celtics were missing their other superstar. Jayson Tatum was ruled out before the game with knee stiffness, a cautious decision that may have cost the team dearly. With Tatum on the floor, the series could have taken a very different turn, but now Boston faces an offseason of regrouping after a shocking early exit.

For fans and players alike, this loss stings—especially after the Celtics' deep playoff run last season. As the team looks ahead to next year, one thing is clear: the rivalry with the 76ers is only heating up.
