The Minnesota Vikings have made a major move to strengthen their wide receiver room, agreeing to a one-year deal with veteran pass-catcher Jauan Jennings. The contract is worth up to $13 million, according to a source familiar with the deal.
Jennings, 28, was one of the top free agents still available on the market. He spent his first five NFL seasons with the San Francisco 49ers, where he built a reputation as a reliable and physical receiver. Over 75 career games (32 starts), Jennings has recorded 210 catches, 2,581 receiving yards, and 22 touchdowns.
Last season, Jennings led all 49ers wideouts in catches (55) and receiving yards (643), while also posting a career-high nine touchdown receptions—a team best. His ability to make tough catches over the middle and his willingness to block make him a perfect fit for the Vikings' offense.
At 6-foot-3, Jennings brings a big catch radius and physicality to a Minnesota receiving corps that already features superstar Justin Jefferson and rising talent Jordan Addison. The Vikings lacked depth behind that dynamic duo, and Jennings is expected to step in as the team's X-receiver, giving quarterback Kyle a reliable third option.
This signing is just the latest in a busy offseason for the Vikings, who have been aggressive in adding talent around their new signal-caller. With Jennings now in the fold, Minnesota's passing attack looks even more dangerous heading into the 2026 season.
