Jannik Sinner has set a new tennis milestone that Carlos Alcaraz hasn’t yet matched. Sinner is on a 21-match unbeaten run, with titles in Indian Wells, Miami, and Monte Carlo.

Jannik Sinner has done what even Carlos Alcaraz hasn't—and in the process, he's joined an elite group of just six players in tennis history.

The Italian star is on an absolute tear. Riding a 21-match unbeaten streak, Sinner has already claimed titles in Indian Wells, Miami, and Monte Carlo this season. Now, he's just two wins away from adding the Madrid Open trophy to his collection.

That's a big deal, especially since Sinner had never made it past the quarterfinals in Madrid before this week. He changed that narrative in style, taking down Spanish teenager Rafael Jodar 6-2, 7-6(0) to punch his ticket to the semifinals for the first time at this event.

With Alcaraz sidelined for the rest of the clay court season due to a wrist injury, Sinner has emerged as the clear favorite in the Spanish capital. But this milestone isn't just about Madrid—it's about consistency across the entire ATP Masters 1000 series.

Sinner has now reached at least the semifinals in all nine Masters 1000 tournaments. That's a feat only five other players have ever accomplished: Rafael Nadal (2009), Novak Djokovic (2009), Roger Federer (2010), Andy Murray (2015), and Alexander Zverev (2026). Alcaraz, despite his two Madrid titles, still has three Masters events—Canada, Shanghai, and Paris—where he hasn't advanced past the quarterfinals.

But Sinner isn't done yet. He's also chasing a milestone that only one player has ever achieved: winning all nine Masters 1000 titles. Novak Djokovic is the only man to complete that full sweep, doing it twice over his career. Neither Nadal nor Federer ever managed it—Nadal never won Miami or Paris, while Federer fell short in Monte Carlo and Rome.

Madrid and Rome are the two Masters titles still missing from Sinner's collection, and he could potentially lock down both before Roland Garros this season. Next up, he'll face Arthur Fils—who remains unbeaten on clay this year—in a semifinal clash that promises fireworks. The two have met once before, and Sinner will need every bit of his current form to extend his incredible run.
