Jannik Sinner is making waves in the tennis world, but the humble 24-year-old world No. 1 insists he's not ready to be mentioned alongside the sport's legendary Big Three—Novak Djokovic, Roger Federer, and Rafael Nadal. Despite his meteoric rise and record-breaking pace, Sinner is keeping his feet firmly on the ground.
In a recent interview with Tennis TV, Sinner was asked about the inevitable comparisons to Djokovic, Federer, and Nadal. Ever the class act, he stayed true to his modest roots. "I know it means a lot, but I just cannot compare myself with Rafa, Roger, Novak," he said. "It's an incredible achievement from my side and my team and my family. They know how much effort and sacrifices I put in to be in this position. I always put tennis first, and I'm extremely happy with these results."
Sinner's current run of form is nothing short of spectacular. "It's a really good feeling being on court right now," he added, reflecting on the joy of playing at such a high level. His consistency, especially at the Masters 1000 level, has seen him chase down milestones faster than any of the Big Three ever did. In Madrid, he achieved a feat quicker than Federer, Nadal, or Djokovic, and his win streak at this level now surpasses even Nadal's best run. Federer's record is next in his sights.
Off the court, Sinner has also shown leadership, recently backing Aryna Sabalenka and Coco Gauff's call for potential Grand Slam boycotts if player demands aren't met. But for now, the Italian star is focused on letting his racket do the talking—and rewriting the record books one match at a time. Whether he likes it or not, the comparisons to the Big Three are only going to grow louder as he continues to dominate.
