The Philadelphia Eagles are very hopeful that things are going to change after a rather embarrassing 2025-26 season for an organization that's expected to win every time it steps on the field.

The Philadelphia Eagles are entering the 2026 season with a renewed sense of urgency, hoping to bounce back from what many consider an embarrassing 2025-26 campaign. For a franchise that expects to win every time it steps on the field, last season simply wasn't good enough—even if the team remains one of the NFL's most talented rosters.

Much of the criticism has fallen on quarterback Jalen Hurts, who faces one of the toughest jobs in professional sports: leading a passionate, demanding fanbase that expects nothing less than a Super Bowl. It might sound strange to say a player with Hurts' résumé still has something to prove, but that's exactly where we are. After a disappointing year for the Super Bowl-winning signal-caller, the pressure is on for him to figure things out.

According to ESPN's Jeremy Fowler, Hurts is already hard at work, building chemistry with his receivers—including DeVonta Smith and new veteran addition Elijah Moore. "I'm hearing the two have hit it off," Fowler reported, noting that Hurts is embracing changes to the offensive scheme under new coordinator Sean Mannion. The offense will feature more under-center snaps and play-action looks than in previous years—adjustments Hurts has been open to, even if he was initially reluctant.

"He's also been throwing offsite with some of his receivers, DeVonta Smith, who's his new No. 1, new veteran Elijah Moore. He's been getting after it, trying to get ready for this new offense. Eagles are going to look a lot different in 2026," Fowler said.

These developments suggest that wide receiver A.J. Brown's role may be changing, as Hurts focuses on building a strong connection with Smith and Moore. For Eagles fans, this is a promising sign that the team is adapting and evolving—and that Hurts is fully committed to leading the charge. With a revamped offense and a quarterback hungry to prove his doubters wrong, Philadelphia is poised for a comeback season.
