Tennessee sophomore Jackson Herrington is living the dream at Augusta National. The long-hitting lefty, who earned his spot as a U.S. Amateur finalist, made a memorable Masters debut on Thursday, carding a 4-over-par 76 while playing alongside 2009 champion Angel Cabrera.
Herrington admitted to first-tee jitters, saying, “I wasn't terribly nervous until I heard my name called. Then I was like, ‘Oh, this is actually happening.’” He navigated the iconic front nine at 3-over before settling in for a 1-over performance on the back, a solid start for any amateur on golf's grandest stage.
His second round is set for an 11:27 a.m. ET start on Friday, April 10th. Follow along here for live, hole-by-hole updates as this promising young talent continues his journey at the 2026 Masters.
