After Iowa women's basketball secured transfer portal commitments from a pair of guards over the past two weeks, the Hawkeyes are looking to add another to the program as it hosts former Georgia guard Jocelyn Faison for a visit this weekend.
Hawkeye Report's Kyle Huesmann reported that Iowa is hosting Faison for a transfer portal visit.
In her true freshman season with the Bulldogs, the 6-foot-1 guard out of Atlanta saw limited playing time. The bulk of the backcourt minutes were taken up by Rylie Theuerkauf, Trinity Turner, Enjulina Gonzalez, Savannah Henderson and recent Hawkeye signee Dani Carnegie.
In her 25 games played last season, Faison totaled 32 points, 34 rebounds, 14 assists, six steals, and four blocks in 7.8 minutes per game.
Faison was ranked as a four-star signee in Georgia's 2025 class, per 247Sports. 247Sports ranked Faison as the No. 4 player from Georgia and as the No. 79 player nationally.
ESPN ranked Faison as its No. 98 player nationally in the 2025 class out of Langston Hughes High School.
While the Hawkeyes appear set with their expected starters, Faison would certainly provide valuable depth off the bench for head coach Jan Jensen and another addition to the program's promising sophomore class that includes Journey Houston and center Layla Hays.
