The pieces continue to come together for the Iowa State 2026-27 men's basketball schedule.
The Cyclones will face Missouri State in the Hall of Fame Classic doubleheader at T-Mobile Center in Kansas City on Dec. 18. The neutral-site event will also feature Drake-Wichita State in the other game.
It will be the 26th edition of the Hall of Fame Classic, which is organized by the National Association of Basketball Coaches. Game times and TV designations will be announced at a later date.
The game will mark the first-ever meeting between Iowa State and Missouri State. The Cyclones previously played in the Hall of Fame Classic in 2014, when it was organized as a two-day, four-team tournament. Iowa State finished as runner-up to Maryland that year after defeating Alabama in the semifinals.
Iowa State finished the 2025-26 season with a 29-8 record, tied for the second-most wins in school history. The Cyclones reached their third Sweet 16 in five years and fell to Tennessee. Iowa State was ranked No. 8 in the final AP poll.
Missouri State finished 16-18 overall last season. The Bears went 8-12 in the Conference USA portion of the schedule.
