According to transfer expert Gianluca Di Marzio, at least five changes are expected to manager Cristian Chivu's starting lineup, signaling a period of major transition for the Serie A giants.

The midfield appears to be the primary focus of this overhaul. Di Marzio reports that Inter's strategy is to bring in two new midfielders. One spot is already earmarked for the returning Aleksandar Stankovic, who is back from his loan at Club Brugge, though a final decision on his immediate role is pending.

Intriguingly, the other midfield target is a surprise name: Atalanta's Brazilian dynamo, Ederson. Inter have reportedly made enquiries for the player, but face a significant hurdle. A pre-existing agreement between Ederson and Atletico Madrid complicates any potential deal, with Atalanta's valuation also described as "very high."

Despite the obstacles, Di Marzio drew a fascinating parallel to a past Inter triumph, noting, "It reminds me of when Atletico completed Lautaro Martínez’s medical and then Inter managed to sign him anyway." This historical context suggests the Nerazzurri are not out of the race just yet.
