Inter Milan have done it again. The Nerazzurri secured their 21st Serie A title on Sunday with a commanding 2-0 victory over Parma, needing only a draw but delivering so much more. It's a triumphant rebound for a club that faced one of its darkest moments just a year ago—losing the 2025 Champions League final to PSG.

The turnaround has been remarkable. Under new head coach Cristian Chivu, who replaced Simone Inzaghi after the latter departed for Al-Hilal, Inter have dominated the 2025-26 season from start to finish. Chivu, a former Inter player, brought fresh energy and a deep understanding of the club's culture. He previously cut his teeth in Inter's academy from 2019 to 2024 before a brief stint at Parma, where he kept the club in Serie A over 13 matches. Now, he joins Armando Castellazzi as the only Inter figures to win the Scudetto both as a player and as a manager—a legendary feat last achieved in the 1937-38 season.

This season wasn't supposed to be easy. Rivals like AC Milan (now led by Massimiliano Allegri), AS Roma (with Gian Piero Gasperini), and Napoli (who convinced Antonio Conte to stay after their 2024-25 title win) all looked formidable. Inter, meanwhile, seemed fragile—coming off a trophyless final season under Inzaghi and the heartbreak of the Champions League final. But Chivu rebuilt confidence, trusted new faces like young Italian striker Francesco Pio Esposito, and turned the Nerazzurri into a relentless force that led the Serie A standings for most of the campaign.

The celebration isn't over yet. Despite a Champions League playoff exit to Bodø/Glimt, Inter have a chance to add more silverware. They face Maurizio Sarri's Lazio in the Coppa Italia final on May 13 at the Stadio Olimpico in Rome. For a team that's already proven its resilience, another trophy would be the perfect cap to an unforgettable season.
